Hobsonville Hearing is the first permanent audiology practice in the Hobsonville area and is locally owned and operated by audiologist Abby Johnson. We share our premises with several other allied health professionals on level one inside the Hobson Centre.
At Hobsonville Hearing, we take great pride in providing our community with high quality, professional and patient-centred care. We offer all audiology services including hearing tests, annual hearing aid reviews, ear wax removal using microsuction, workplace testing and custom ear plugs. Our goal is to ensure every interaction with us is positive and puts your needs first – you are more than just a number.

ABBY JOHNSON
Audiologist MNZAS, Director
Abby completed her Master of Audiology degree at the University of Canterbury in 2016 and obtained her Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) in 2017 making her a full and registered member of the New Zealand Audiological Society. She opened Hobsonville Hearing in September of 2021 - the first permanent audiology clinic in the Hobsonville area. Abby is passionate about people (and ears!) and lives locally with her partner, Scott, and their beloved dog and cat.
VINA CENTENO
Audiologist MNZAS
Vina is an experienced and fully qualified audiologist, who first graduated 11 years ago in the Philippines. Since 2017, New Zealand has been her second home. She lives locally in Whenuapai with her husband.
MEI YEN TAN
Audiologist MNZAS
Mei completed her Master of Audiology degree with First Class Honours at the University of Auckland in 2012 and has over a decade of experience in audiology. Having spent her early years in a multilingual country, she is fluent in English and conversant in Mandarin and Bahasa. Mei lives locally in Whenuapai with her husband, two young kids and dog.
PHOEBE FRANKLIN
Practice Manager
Phoebe is the friendly face and voice behind Hobsonville Hearing. She’s here to help manage your phone calls and email enquiries, ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Phoebe also brings her creativity to our marketing, designing both digital and physical materials, including our monthly newsletter. She helps to manage our social media and is constantly updating our website to include helpful information and resources for our customers. She lives locally in Whenuapai with a cat and dog at home.

Abby belongs to the Independent Audiologists New Zealand (IANZ). Hobsonville Hearing is an independent audiology practice, meaning we are not affiliated with any one hearing aid manufacturer. We work with all leading hearing aid brands and can help you to choose an option that suits your lifestyle and budget. Our goal is to keep the entire process - from fitting to finalising - completely transparent and offer a personalised service to each individual.
